Tree works in Berkswell Village 11th to 15th April Midlands Forestry will be undertaking essential tree works in Berkswell village from 11th to 15th April 2017. The work will include:
A programme to remove dead and unsound trees will be undertaken. This follows recommendations from experts and approval by Solihull Council. The work involves sycamores and dead elms. The work has been scheduled for the school holidays to minimise the impact on those who use the spinney path to get to the school. The Council has given permission to the contractor to close the spinney if required to allow the work to be undertaken safely.
Two large oak trees will be removed from the eastern side of the historic animal pound on Coventry Road. The roots from these trees are damaging the wall of the Pound and after their removal the Council will look at renovations to the cracked wall.
